  • Error calling method of a PBNI object

Hi Yeyi, I am using the components from Brad Weary to redesign the whole UI of a very large application. So far everything went fine, but we stumbled upon a problem that could kill the whole project... Our application needs to call webservice via SOAP. To do this we use the PBSOAPCLIENT105.PBD which...

  • Re: Issues on exe building

Hi Premji, Roland Thanks again for trying out the issue. I have posted a new Preview w/c replaces PBNI w/ a straight DLL. The performance and feature set is exactly the same, but it provides more stable debugging in PB and of course deployment. This will also open up the possibility of porting Kodigo...

  • Preview 3 available for donwload

This preview features a DLL only solution instead of PBNI. This allows for more stable debugging and deployment. No features have been compromised from the shift. Subclassing and Application wide Hooking are featured. The first control is also demoed, a simple gradient text making use of the CustomControlBase...

  • Re: Issues on exe building

Thanks for the reassurance, Roland, I will have to test it again on other machines at work just to be sure. At any rate, I managed to come up with a non-PBNI version, just a straight DLL. It works alright, just not as fast as PBNI, but good enough. If I can improve the performance, this might be a better...

Thanks for the confirmation, Premji. I'll try a different approach and will let you know.

  • Issues on exe building

OK, this issue is pretty serious. Everytime I build an exe using the current Kodigo 4, it only runs on the machine it was built on. If I deploy on a different machine, it does not run. The error is always PBNI related, if I rebuild the PBD on said machine, the exe will run w/o errors. Can someone please...

  • Preview 2 available for download

Here is the second preview for Kodigo 4. The PBL names have been changed in order to compile correctly. I have also added the PBNI stuff including source code. So all you C++ people can look at my crappy code and hopefully make it better The sample window demonstrates subclassing controls on the form...

  • Re: Existing bugs?

I see, you will have to recompile the PBD from the PBX. In your PB install directory, there should be a folder for SDK\PBNI\. I suggest you copy the PBNIKodigo.pbx there and rebuild it using this command: pbx2pbd100.exe fcxpbni.pbd PBNIKodigo.pbx This should create a new PBD named fcxpbni.pbd from PBNIKodigo...

  • Re: PBL naming and object grouping

I currently have PB8 and PB10 but I will stick with 10 for now until the project stabilizes. But I am considering supporting earlier versions. Someone actually ported Kodigo v3.3.1.5 to PB9 successfully. If PBNI is the only solution then Kodigo can go only up to PB9. But if I can make a DLL only version...
